What we do.
Surrey Softwash Specialists focuses on the cleaning of anything on the exterior of your property. We only use industry approved application methods, using the best cleaning products and applying them with the latest technology on the market.
All of our products are 100% biodegradable and have a low environmental footprint. This results in fantastic results time after time, whilst never damaging your home.

What is Softwashing?
Our softwash product is a custom blend mix of industry approved chemicals that is applied to the cleaning site by spray or brush application. This application then allows the softwash solution to penetrate to the root of the live, organic biofilm contamination that is on your property.
Our soft wash products do not “bio accumulate”, meaning they break down rapidly on contact with organic matter to give the process a very low environmental footprint. Finally, treatment with a biocide will give a longer term protection often of several years depending on the location.
Our Softwash product is applied via a lower pressure brush system that allows us to accurately apply it to the contaminated surface with minimal wastage or overspray and most importantly, no damage to the surface. Once applied to the contaminated area, it will penetrate down to the root of the biofilm and natural growth, completely sanitising it.

Can I have a free assessment and quote?
Absolutely, we provide a free site visit and quote supplied to you free of charge.
How safe is softwash to me, my home and my plants?
A full health and safety and risk assessment will be conducted before work begins to ensure everyone and everything is fully protected from potential hazards. The working area will be cleared of any risks off and access restricted with clear warning signs, alongside pre-coordinated communication with anyone at the property to not come near the working area. A generous pre soaking of plants and protection with a horticultural fleece combined with the careful targeted application of the softwash product will ensure your plants remain undamaged. Chris is Level 1 First Aid Qualified in case of any emergency if it were to occur.
What is Biofilm?
A Biofilm is a film of microorganisms, comprising one or combinations of algae, mould, fungi, mildew, yeasts, and protozoa, growing on building surfaces and multiplying photosynthetically. Because they flourish favourably on porous surfaces with some degree of dampness and sustaining minerals present, building exteriors and wall finishes tend to be vulnerable to biofilm colonisation. On the outside, they taint the appearance of the surfaces they infect, reducing their water repelling ability, and soon, through relentless metabolic activities and constant growth, they begin to work their way inward to degrade the structural integrity of the parts affected.
Whats the difference between pressure washing vs softwashing?
Pressure washing uses water directed at pressure to remove contaminants from a surface. It does have a place in cleaning as it will help prepare a surface for softwashing and our specialized equipment allows us to adjust the pressure to suit the task. But on its own it will leave the roots and spores of the surface contanimants alive and ready to reproduce and re-colonise the surface. With Softwashing, custom blended cleaning solutions are applied to the surface by use of special, low pressure pumps. The pressure is about the same as that of a garden hose supply. It is the cleaning solution that does all the work.
